Better than northface! I'm a college student who travels a lot, and I use this backpack at school and as a carry-on on airplanes. I originally bought it because it fit some of the tight carry-on size standards of international airlines. But after my basic (and more expensive) northface backpack ripped across the front after 2 months, I started using this Kavu one at school too. It has held up like a champion for about 7 months, and I love the security pocket on the inside. When you're walking around an airport or in another country, it's nice to have a little inner pocket just for your passport or other important documents.

CON: No laptop pocket. It's a little too small for anything above a 15'', anyway. Even without it, I still throw my protected 15'' macbook in there every once in awhile and nothing bad has happened.
PROs: Aesthetic, travel-friendly, long-lasting, ridiculously cheap on Amazon

I was very surprised to find this item priced at only ten bucks and change....(small change...18 cents change.)

It is the right size for my 10 year old daughters frame and all her books including the oversize binder she has to carry fits perfectly.

Kavu is the "thing" to have these at school, and at 30 dollars cheaper than every other vendor Ihave found was a sweeeeeet deal.

I only wish I had bought several more for birthday gifts.

If you do sports constantly, this is the backpack for you. I am a karate practicant and my Gi (training vest) gets really wet during my training, I was looking for a backpack that will let it breathe, and this one was perfect.
Although it is great, I would like it to have two big compartments, because there are things which I do not want to put together with my Gi, and the frontal compartment is quite small, you can put your wallet, mobile phone there and a little notebook and that is it, it should be bigger. However the size of the backpack is just right, so the small compartment could be bigger and the big one just a little smaller, in such a way that the overall size is kept constant, yes that is a comment for JanSport.

The material looks pretty good and resistant for being a mesh, however I have more JanSport backpacks and the straps of this one should be made with a more resistant fabric, availiable in other JanSport models.
